The Business Archives Councils of England, Wales and Scotland have joined forces to present Business Bites.  We invite everyone with an interest in business archives to this informal event where current challenges, successes and ideas are shared at a lunchtime meeting.

The theme of this event is – A Business Archive Grants Case Study

Where: Online – via Teams

When: Wednesday, 24th June 2026, 12.30pm – 13.30pm
What:

Kirsten Forrest, Curatorial & Interpretation Manager from the Alexandra Park & Palace Charitable Trust will be talking about their experience of applying for the Business Archive Council Cataloguing Grant.

Kirsten Forrest comes from a background in museums and exhibitions in the UK and East Asia. As curator at Ally Pally since 2015, her broad remit includes interpretation of the Park and Palace’s 150-year-old history, collections management, education, research, and public engagement. Kirsten is supported by an enthusiastic volunteer team of 30, who make possible a diverse range of projects from digitisation to mounting temporary exhibitions.

Kirsten will cover their application journey, what the grant has enabled them to do and what outcomes they have achieved since. This years grant will be promoted and a new small grants fund will be launched by the Business Archives Council Scotland.

If you are interested in applying for BAC or BACS grants (or indeed any other funding pots) in the future, this session will provide you with a range of hints and tips to use in your own applications.
